Hurricane Cliffs throw pillow
Hurricane Cliffs is a canyon trail outside Virgin, Utah, just west of Zion. This palette came from a photo taken there at golden hour: red dirt, silver-green sagebrush, layered sandstone, and a sky that had gone pale at the edges.
This fabric started as a color study: nineteen colors of fine wool, double-threaded on the rigid heddle. Each color in the warp is repeated in the weft, creating subtle intersections that shift depending on where your eye lands. Warm to cool, deep to pale, earth to sky.
The front is the woven fabric straight off the loom, washed and finished. The back is unbleached canvas. Hand-sewn and stuffed with a feather insert.
One of a kind. Spot clean only.
Each one of a kind textile ships with a small print of the landscape that inspired it. If this piece is sold out, a similar one can be made to order. Email touchgrasstextiles@gmail.com
