Prickly Pear hand towels
San Angelo State Park sits at the edge of West Texas, where the Hill Country gives way to the rolling plains. This palette came from a stop there in late summer: deep magenta prickly pear tunas against yellow-green paddles and dry straw-colored grass.
Woven in a balanced plain weave, cotton/linen blend in four colors: natural, sun yellow, pear green, and cerise. The stripe sequence runs through both warp and weft, creating a bright but balanced plaid with an early summer glow. Hemmed in chambray blue.
Sold individually. Each towel uses all the colors in different order. The hem color is the accent stripe at each end as well as the center stripe for that towel.
Hand wash cold or machine wash gentle, tumble dry low.
Each one of a kind textile ships with a small print of the landscape that inspired it. If this piece is sold out, a similar one can be made to order. Email touchgrasstextiles@gmail.com
